The writing on the wall of the Knesset of the Biblical verse about the Nile and the Euphrates and the two blue stripes of the Israeli flag symbolize the Nile and the Euphrates prove that Israel’s long term strategic goal is to continue expanding in the area. Israel is not interested in peace. It is all a show
Not only is it not Israel’s goal to expand from the Nile to the Euphraties, it is down right impossible – we are talking about territory the size of Turkey which is inhabited by millions and millions of Arab people, who double in numbers every 20 years. Israel has taken no steps to achieve such a fantastic goal and has shown that given the opportunity it is willing to give up conquered land (Sinai) in exchange for a genuine peace deal. For the past 30 years Egypt and Israel have enjoyed each other’s relative friendly relations and neither side seems unhappy with the result
The only people to have ever concluded that the lines represent the 2 rivers were Arafat, Hamas and the Iranian theocracy. No-one else, whether friend or foe of Israel believes that the lines are anything other than symbolic of the Jewish prayer shawl (Tallit) which is traditionally blue and white. Look it up if you don’t believe me.
As for the writing on the Knesset wall….have you ever been there? ‘Cos I have, several times and I have never seen this quotation by the main entrance as claimed. Please, come to Israel and visit for yourself.
The Zionist expansion from the Nile to the Euphrates myth is an invention of the Arab propaganda machine. It has not, nor ever will be a goal of Israel or the Zionist movement.
